Lao and Chinese officials celebrated the opening of a cultural and tropical rainforest tourism festival in Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, on June 21st. The event, co-organized by the provinces of Luang Namtha, Phongsaly, Bokeo, Luang Prabang, and Oudomxay in Laos along with Yunnan, China, aims to bolster cultural exchanges and enhance the relationship between these regions.
