In a solemn ceremony marking the 37th anniversary of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Xieng Khuang Provincial Public Security Headquarter set ablaze a significant quantity of narcotics. Held at the Nam Kun rehabilitation center in Pek district, this event underscores Laos' ongoing battle against the drug menace.
The destroyed items included 82,800 amphetamine pills, 18 bars of heroin, 360 cases of dried cannabis, 250 electronic cigarettes, various party drugs, collagen, and dried poppy.
