Laos and Mongolia Strengthen Ties with New Cooperation Agreements

President Thongloun Sisoulith's State Visit Yields Key Agreements in Health, Agriculture, and Civil Service
President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith is paying a state visit to Mongolia on June 11-12, as reported by Montsame. During the visit, several significant cooperation agreements have been signed between Laos and Mongolia.

The Ministry of Health of Mongolia and the Ministry of Health of Laos concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation in health and medicine. This agreement will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in diagnostic and therapeutic methods, surgery, and emergency care.

The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia and the Ministry of Industry and Forestry of Laos signed a protocol on the export of cattle, horse, sheep, and goat meat from Mongolia to Laos. This protocol includes hygiene requirements for animal origin products and confirms the form and conditions of the International Veterinary Certificate for the Export of Sheep, Goat, and Horse Meat. The document aims to implement the Intergovernmental Agreement on Veterinary and Quarantine of Animals and Livestock established in 2023.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Civil Service Council of Mongolia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Laos was signed. This agreement focuses on developing civil service reform through experience and information exchange, organizing training, and conducting research.

These agreements mark a significant step in expanding cooperation between Laos and Mongolia, particularly in the fields of health, agriculture, and civil service.
