Vietnam to Hold the ASEAN Future Forum 2025 in Hanoi

Themed discussions strive to enhance ASEAN collaboration and strengthen resilience.
Vietnam is prepared to host the ASEAN Future Forum 2025, themed "Building a United, Inclusive, and Resilient ASEAN Amidst Global Transformations." Set for February 25–26 in Hanoi, the forum will gather officials, scholars, and experts to discuss innovative policies for regional growth and integration.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son announced the forum at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Malaysia on January 19. The retreat, led by Malaysian Foreign Minister Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, emphasized Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship theme for 2025, "Inclusivity and Sustainability."

Vietnam reiterated its dedication to ASEAN unity, external relations, and progressing negotiations for a Code of Conduct in the East Sea, consistent with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
