Laos Strengthens ASEAN Tourism Ties at TRAVEX 2025 in Malaysia
Lao Tourism Leaders Promote Regional Cooperation and Business Growth
The Tourism Malaysia Organisation provided Lao tourism businesses a valuable platform at the ASEAN Tourism Products Exhibition 2025 (TRAVEX 2025), held from January 15 to 20. The event aimed to strengthen cross-border collaboration, enhance tourism ties, and celebrate the cultural and natural heritage of ASEAN nations.
Led by Mr. Ketasone Sundara, Director of the Tourism Marketing Division at the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, the Lao delegation included 15 representatives from the tourism and hospitality sectors. Participants actively engaged with regional partners, showcasing Laos’ diverse tourism offerings and expanding business networks.
Landmark Riverside Hotel and Enjoy Travel Company were among the key participants. Ms. Phonvilay Keovixay, General Manager of Enjoy Travel, highlighted the exhibition’s role in fostering partnerships and market expansion, while Mr. Sengdaoheung Vongphommala of Phewigo Travel praised the event’s success in connecting Lao businesses with ASEAN markets.
