Chinese Electric Vehicle Manufacturers Contest EU Tariffs at the Court of Justice

Chinese electric vehicle companies BYD, Geely, and SAIC have launched legal challenges against the European Union's tariffs on EV imports from China. Following an anti-subsidy investigation, the EU imposed tariffs ranging from 17% to 35% on these firms in late October, in addition to the customary 10% car import duty.
These challenges were submitted to the General Court of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) one day before the deadline.
