Vietnam has pledged to continue fostering effective and substantive cooperation with Laos and Cambodia, aligning with new development goals, according to Pham Thu Hang, spokesperson for Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Hang emphasized that the long-standing solidarity among the three nations remains a valuable asset, despite Cambodia’s recent withdrawal from the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Area.

During a press conference in Hanoi, Hang stressed that the CLV initiative has significantly contributed to economic and trade collaboration, strengthening people-to-people ties, and reducing the development gap in border areas. This cooperation is expected to continue benefiting the ASEAN Community and promoting regional peace.

Addressing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, Vietnam urged all parties to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue to maintain stability, contributing to peace in the region and beyond.
