According to the 2025 Asia-Pacific Best Cities report by global business consulting firm Resonance, Singapore has been distinguished as the foremost city in the Asia-Pacific region for livability, lovability, and prosperity. This comprehensive assessment evaluated over 140 cities, considering factors like price-to-income ratio, tree cover, air quality, employment statistics, tourism attractiveness, and the presence of Fortune Global 500 companies.

The survey, which collected feedback from over 7,000 respondents across nine Asia-Pacific nations, ranked Singapore first overall, followed by Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Sydney, Shanghai, Melbourne, and Kuala Lumpur. In terms of prosperity, Singapore held the top position due to its strong employment rates and the high number of global corporations based in the city. However, when it came to livability and lovability, it secured the second position after Tokyo.

The report emphasized Singapore as "a global powerhouse excelling in infrastructure, GDP per capita, and innovation," praising its ongoing initiatives to reshape modern urban living. Hugh Lim, executive director of the Center for Livable Cities in Singapore, pointed out in a recent lecture that the study serves as an important tool for comprehending and reflecting on Singapore's ongoing progress.
