General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, along with his spouse, will pay a state visit to Vietnam from September 10-13.

The visit comes at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, To Lam, and his spouse, as announced by the committee's Commission for External Relations.

Vietnam and Laos established diplomatic relations in 1962. Currently, Vietnam is one of the largest investors in Laos, with over 250 investment projects and a total capital investment of $5.5 billion. The two countries continue to strengthen their partnership in various sectors, including trade and infrastructure.
