A training session on the use of the online licensing system for tourism-related businesses was held on July 29, 2024, at the Saravan Provincial Teacher Training College. The event was presided over by Mrs. Darany Phommavongsa, Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism (ICT), who is in charge of tourism affairs. Representatives from ICT departments and relevant offices from ten provinces in the central and southern regions participated in the session.

The training aimed to enhance the professional capabilities of the provincial ICT departments and district ICT offices in managing and utilizing the online licensing system within the tourism sector. This system is designed to facilitate the processing of business licenses, reduce paperwork and costs, save time, and ensure the transparent collection of fees and service charges from licensing services. Participants were trained on creating user accounts, using the front-end and back-end web interfaces, and troubleshooting. The session also emphasized the system's role in simplifying management, risk-based assessments, and improving the tourism business database.

The workshop included theoretical and practical sessions, providing hands-on experience in using the system, managing the front-end website, back-end data, and website administration. The training highlighted the significance of the system's development in improving the efficiency and transparency of licensing processes in the tourism sector.
