The National University of Laos (NUOL) has announced it will admit 5,920 new students for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025. The entrance exam is set for August 10, 2024.

Preparations are underway for the exam, and online registration for students is open from July 8 to August 7, 2024. Exam tickets will be issued at the university's Dong Dok campus from July 15 to August 7, 2024. The list of exam takers will be posted on August 9, 2024.

Acting President of NUOL, Mr. Desanulad Sendouangdeth, emphasized the importance of maintaining quality, stating that all applicants, except those with government scholarships, must pass the entrance exam. The exams are divided into Group A (natural sciences) and Group B (social sciences), covering subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Lao Language, Literature, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, and English.

Exam results will be announced on September 9, 2024, with registration from September 10 to 27, 2024. Mr. Desanulad encouraged grade 12 graduates and those from previous years who have not yet enrolled to take the entrance exam and urged parents to support their children's education for future job market preparation.
