The Lao Responsible Business Awards 2025 honored businesses demonstrating excellence in social and environmental responsibility at a ceremony hosted at the British Embassy Residence in Vientiane on 10 February. This year’s theme, Community Engagement, highlighted the role of businesses in fostering sustainable development and ethical practices.

A total of 27 businesses participated in the competition, with categories for both small and large enterprises. The Green Goods Co Ltd won first place in the SME category, followed by Annamite Resources Laos Co., Ltd and Go2Green Sole Co Ltd. In the large business category, EXO Travel took the top award, while Lao Brewery Company and MMG Limited secured second and third places, respectively. The event featured opening remarks from UK Ambassador Melanie Barlow, alongside speeches from EU Ambassador Mark Gallagher, Australian Ambassador Megan Jones, and other representatives emphasizing the importance of corporate responsibility.

The awards, now in their third edition, were organized by leading business chambers and embassies, including the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Australian Chamber of Commerce, and the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The evening concluded with a trade fair showcasing sustainable business initiatives, providing networking opportunities and promoting responsible business practices as a driver of long-term growth in Laos.
