A high-level delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by President Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse, has arrived in Phnom Penh for a two-day state visit in Cambodia. The visit, extended at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, marks a significant diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring nations.

During the visit, President Thongloun Sisoulith will engage in various diplomatic activities, including a royal audience with His Majesty the King at the Royal Palace. Additionally, meetings are scheduled with Cambodian leaders, including Hun Sen, President of the Senate; Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly; and Hun Manet, the Prime Minister. The agenda includes discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between Cambodia and Laos, as well as addressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.

As part of the visit, President Thongloun Sisoulith will pay respects at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial Statue of the late King-Father, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM SIHANOUK. The visit is expected to further strengthen and promote the excellent relations, good neighborliness, and fraternal ties between the two countries, reaffirming their Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership for mutual prosperity.
