Lao Ford City Supports UXO Clearance and School Reconstruction in Xieng Khuang

Driving Social Change: Lao Ford City Steps Up for Communities
In a significant gesture of support, Lao Ford City Co., Ltd., a key distributor of Ford vehicles in Laos, has contributed funds to aid in the clearance of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and assist a school affected by UXO in Xieng Khuang province. On April 24, the Lao Ford City team handed over US$20,000 to UXO Clearance Solutions, aimed at improving Sixiengmai Primary School.

The explosives included some 270 million small cluster bombs. Laos is the most heavily bombed country per capita in the world, with an estimated 80 million UXO still scattered nationwide. Of the bombs dropped by the U.S. military during their attack on Vietnam, 30% remain undetonated, causing regular casualties.

This initiative underscores Lao Ford City's ongoing commitment to social assistance, following previous efforts to aid flood victims, children with disabilities, and schools in need across various provinces. With a focus on driving social change, Lao Ford City is not only distributing vehicles but also extending a helping hand to communities in need, demonstrating their dedication to making a positive impact.
