A recent storm swept through Xayaboury province, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Despite the challenges faced, the community has come together to repair the damage and rebuild what was lost. Xayaboury District Deputy Governor, Ms. Philavanh Ongkeo, reported that the storm brought strong winds, heavy rain, and hail, impacting 20 villages and affecting 520 houses. Various government offices, schools, a hospital, market, temples, and vehicles were also damaged. However, thanks to swift response efforts and community resilience, repairs are already underway. The 419th army battalion has played a crucial role in assisting with repairs, highlighting the spirit of unity and solidarity that defines Xayaboury in the face of adversity.
