China and Laos have signed a joint statement during Chinese Premier Li Qiang's official visit to Laos, aiming to enhance cooperation and develop a connectivity corridor between China, Laos, and Thailand. Both sides agreed to promote the high-quality operation and expansion of the China-Laos Railway, pushing for connections with Thailand’s railway system to advance the China-Laos-Thailand Connectivity Development Corridor.

Additionally, the joint statement outlined plans to increase trade, implementing zero-tariff arrangements for Lao products and supporting the export of high-quality Lao agricultural goods to China. China also welcomed cooperation in aviation, encouraging Lao enterprises to introduce Chinese commercial aircraft.
