The National Institute of Fine Arts, under the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, held an ASEAN fine art exhibition in Vientiane, featuring works made from recycled materials. The event, which ran from July 10-14, aimed to promote cultural heritage along the Laos-China railway and enhance connectivity amidst cultural diversity.

Mr. Khamphou Pheasak, Deputy Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Department, highlighted that the exhibition's goal was to strengthen youth engagement, particularly among ASEAN students in art, fine art, and traditional food. The event began in Luang Prabang and was co-hosted by Laos, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Representatives from each participating country received souvenirs, and the project will continue with activities in Bangkok, Thailand, and will conclude in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 26, 2024.
