Ministry of Health Urges Action Amid Rising Air Pollution Concerns

Citizens Encouraged to Safeguard Health as Air Quality Declines
The Ministry of Health has issued a call to action as air pollution levels soar across Laos, raising concerns about public health. According to reports from the Xinhua News Agency, concentrations of fine dust, particularly PM 2.5, have surpassed safe levels in many provinces, prompting the Ministry to urge citizens to take preventive measures. With air quality index levels exceeding 101 in several areas, including Xayaboury, Oudomxay, Borikhamxay, Champassak, and Vientiane, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of staying informed and reducing harmful emissions to protect against health risks, especially for vulnerable groups.
